UPSIDE DOWN gained her first success when landing the 5f handicap at Southwell on Friday. Homebred and sired by Albaasil, she handled conditions well and could win again under similar circumstances.
She was our second winner of the week and for 2021
VAN DIJK put us on the winning scoresheet for 2021 with his win at Southwell on Thursday.
Although outpaced early on in the race, he saw the mile trip out better than the rest. Southwell can be a hard track and you do need to stay well.
We send 3 runners to Southwell on Thursday:
SLOWMO
PUCHITA
VAN DIJK
We follow up on Friday at Southwell with UPSIDE DOWN and then have a break over the weekend with our next likely runners on Monday.
We have 4 runners, spread over Tuesday and Wednesday at Wolverhampton.
On Tuesday, DRAKEFELL runs in the sprint at 4.10pm. He travels down with ONE ONE SEVEN who goes for the Classified Stakes at 5.10pm.
On Wednesday, DAAFR and QAARAAT run, with the latter making a quick reappearance following his good 2nd yesterday.
THAWRY & QAARAAT are declared for Southwell on Sunday to get us underway for 2021.
More entries through next week, so keep in touch with the entries page on the main site for all the details.
A Happy New Year to all our readers and visitors. May 2021 be brighter for all of us.
